Diversity is a topic that everyone is talking about. But what does it mean and what value can it bring for Bosch Engineering?
Diversity firstly means variety, which is expressed in numerous aspects: e.g. gender, origin, and age. We see variety not only as an advantage, but also as a relevant competition factor that contributes to the sustainability of Bosch Engineering.
Internationality
Work for a global player!
For us, diversity also means internationality. On four continents, in eight countries, at eleven locations worldwide (four of which are in Germany), engineers from a total of 42 nations develop innovative solutions for our automotive customers and customers from other vehicle-related fields on a daily basis. From Yongin in China, through Coventry in Great Britain, to Curitiba in Brazil, we work on innovative projects in our branches. The decisive factor in the selection of the respective location is the proximity to our international customers.
Gender Diversity
In the area of associate development, we support managers in being aware of differences between men and women. We encourage the composition of heterogeneous teams. There are various workshops and seminars on this topic. We also offer different mentoring programs for women to support them in their personal further development.
For us, a particularly important influencing factor for equal opportunities between men and women is work-life balance. Through flexitime, no core working hours, and a large working hours window, we also afford full-time employees the greatest possible flexibility.
